Kinghorn and Evans Family Genealogy

. . . how I got started
and more about our family lines

The Evans Line

In 1991, Muriel Willis Erickson asked if I could find any record of her great grandfather, father of Robert Selby Evans.

I had never been to the LDS Family History Center, but thought it shouldn't be a problem. Inside half an hour, with the assistance of capable volunteer and English researcher, Rene Dussome, I found "Selby" Evans, early settler in Beeton, Ontario. It was so easy.

Yet five years later and bitten by the bug I still hadn't found Selby's father.

Thanks to the networking talents of genealogists, today, in November 1999, I have over 3,500 individuals in my data base, including Selby Evans' father, John Evans who married Lydia Selby.

So on it goes. As an avid genealogist, I seek my ancestors with a vengeance born of the constant effort of trying to fit together the pieces of the infinite puzzle.
